We are very pleased to announce a new partnership between woldingham School & London Wayfarers hockey club for a three year period.
Together with Woldingham School we are looking to deliver an even better hockey experience. Woldingham will be partnering with our Girls section delivering specific support for our Junior Goalkeeper Academy and hockey camps. With several of our girls already attending Woldingham and Becci Pratt coaching at both club and school there are existing strong links we are looking to build on, in particular between Woldingham and our girls teams. Throughout the season we are planning to organise hockey festivals for our girls teams at Woldingham School, friendlies between club and school teams and other activities to make this a very exciting partnership both on and off the pitch.
Director of Sport, Mrs Treacy, looks forward to an exciting partnership with London Wayfarers:
‘This partnership builds on our affinity with London Wayfarers; many of our pupils are members of the junior teams and similarly we have links with the club coaches. I am really excited about the forthcoming friendlies and festivals which will put our superb facilities to good use and allow our teams greater match practice.’
Headmistress, Mrs Hutchinson, regularly found cheering on the sports teams, is also thrilled:
‘Life at Woldingham is all about combining academic endeavour with a range of wider experiences that are so crucial in fostering resilience, commitment and mental well-being. As a life-long hockey player, and a staunch believer in the numerous benefits that commitment to a sport reaps, I am thrilled that we have partnered London Wayfarers Hockey Club.’
