It has been a huge challenge to finalise this year’s allocation with our new Section Captains thrown in at the deep end but we have managed to put together a training schedule.
As always the various slots and limited coaching resources make this a complicated logistical puzzle. Next season will see London Wayfarers Hockey Club extend the senior training sessions from three to four venues adding Crystal Palace to the mix.
A lot of thought has gone into this, and we hope the note we sent out a fortnight ago highlighted some of the complexities involved. We have tried to incorporate as much as possible of the feedback we have received, balancing team’s differing preferences and priorities, and setting us up for the future.
Senior section training allocation for 2017 – 2018

Back to Hockey training sessions are to be introduced in October at Crystal Palace.
There are no specific allocated training sessions for the veterans team, Men Centurions, and our brand new academy team, Ladies Trailblazers.
Coaching opportunities
We still have coaching vacancies for a number of slots. If you have any coaching contacts who might be interested, or if you are interested in coaching yourself, then do let us know. As mentioned at the Annual General Meeting, London Wayfarers Hockey Club is keen to explore ways to support current members to become qualified coaches and we have options for both junior and senior sessions.
We have many coaches in place and we hope to be able to confirm all coaches over the next month.
Please do get in touch with our Section Captains Kirsty Anderson or Mike Coffin if you have any queries or are interested in coaching positions.
Bring on the 2017 – 2018 season!
