The Barbarians ventured over to Slough on Saturday for a London league mid-table clash…

With a motivational playlist full of ‘bangers’ in-hand (Reef, Queen, Bowie, etc), the Barbarians took a 14-strong squad over to Slough for a mid-table clash.

We started off pretty shaky, with a few of us having to get to grip with with nippy young wingers who’s minds were clearly not focused on Will Denton’s birthday at the Hanover Arms later that evening.

We came back strongly in the first half, with Adam Hall smashing in a trade mark finish against the backboard. 1-0, get in.

After settling into the game and acclimatising to a fast pitch, we were unfortunate to concede a short corner midway through the second half.

With a few close chances we were unlucky not to put away another goal and the game finished 1-1.

TFC for Will Denton was pretty inevitable. Adam was a well-deserved man of the match for a seriously solid performance. Aiming to retain the club honour of ‘Social Sensations 2017’ Hannover Arms shenanigans later that evening were also, pretty inevitable.

Onwards and upwards, Baa Baas!
