The 7th umpiring course of the season will be held in March.
If you haven’t got your Level 1 umpiring qualification yet this will be your chance to join the 180 people who already have theirs. It has been a massive success to date and we are a huge step closer to getting all of our senior members qualified.
This London Wayfarers initiative is now being rolled out to other clubs and members from Tulse Hill & Dulwich, London Gamblers, Spencer, Hampstead & Westminster and Battersea Wanderers are also joining our sessions.
This 7th course will take place on Thursday 8 March and Thursday 15 March from 7.30pm. Time commitment should be about 5 hours over two evenings and includes playing some hockey. It will be delivered by England Hockey tutors and London Wayfarers Umpiring assessors.
For the senior section of the club, we would really like a minimum of 3 members per team to be qualified before the end of the season. This number will increase significantly next season as having your umpiring qualification and knowing the rules becomes the norm. This is also a great opportunity for parents interested in becoming qualified to attend and help support future junior matches.
There is capacity for 24 people to complete both classroom and practical components of the course.

Before attending these you will need to register on the Hockey Hub and complete the Online Rules test – click here for more information. This can be completed at any time.
