We are delighted to announce we have been able to fill the final three Club committee vacancies post AGM.
We welcome Charlie Macey, Jo Dittrich and Joy Archer to the London Wayfarers Club Committee. They already deserve a medal!
In order of joining:
Charlie Macey – Senior Comms Officer
Charlie Macey has volunteered to take on the Senior Comms Officer role. With his PR background and the help of an 8 strong team of comms volunteers we are expecting big things when it comes to informing all of our members and promoting London Wayfarers Hockey Club.
Don’t forget you can contribute and post on our social media! Or at least ‘follow or like us’ to not miss out on anything!
Jo Dittrich – Welfare Officer
Jo Dittrich is our second Club Welfare Officer. As we continue to grow we need to ensure player welfare and safeguarding are a top priority across our club. Jo, together with Penny Stubbs, will work hard to provide a safe, inclusive and fun hockey experience for all!
Joy Archer – Club Secretary
Joy Archer has stepped up to fill the Club Secretary role which is fantastic news as we have loads of work to do on our annual calendar, club communications, strategy development and of course plenty of meetings. Joy is raring to go and keep the Executive Committee on course.
We believe everyone can make a significant contribution to London Wayfarers by just volunteering a couple hours every season.
It should be the norm as many hands do make light work! Get involved and umpire other teams, coach juniors one morning, help with organising club events, perform ball patrol duties at first team matches and so on. Together we are London Wayfarers!
