Flyerz Hockey is the name for ALL disability inclusive hockey across the UK. It concentrates on having fun, learning new skills, making friends and promotes an active and healthy lifestyle.
In partnership with Access Sport, London Wayfarers Hockey Club started a new programme – London Wayfarers Flyerz – in early September 2020 that provides hockey sessions for people with pan-disabilities or who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired or neurodivergent. With the emphasis on fun, making friends and being active, London Wayfarers Flyerz aims to create an inclusive atmosphere so everyone can access and benefit from sport in their community.
No equipment or experience is needed—just enthusiasm.
What is Flyerz Hockey
Flyerz Hockey started in 2012 alongside London hosting the Paralympics. The provision of Flyerz Hockey is supported by Access Sport, England Hockey and UK Deaf Sport, and delivered locally by clubs such as London Wayfarers.
More than 50 Flyerz Hockey sections are now running across England, Wales, and Scotland. They are providing inclusive hockey for people with pan-disabilities or who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired or neurodivergent.
