Before the regular season kicks off in September London Wayfarers Hockey Club is organising one more Summer hockey camp!
Once again an amazing team of London Wayfarers coaches including Joe Oddy, Ladies 1s coach, and several Ladies 1s players are running this camp. All outfield abilities will be catered for so strong players stretched and less experienced shown core basics/skills.
The juniors have had the opportunity to develop and learn a number of skills and at the end of each camp, everyone is awarded with a certificate for their hard work and participation. Prizes are awarded to those who show great enthusiasm throughout, impress the coaches with their skills and to those who have improved across both days.
There is never a dull moment at a London Wayfarers camp and one of the highlights was watching the juniors throw themselves down the slip and slide to deflect the ball into the goal. They have completed assault courses with car tyres, taken on the coaches in goal and played competitively against one another to avoid a team forfeit! Our aim for each camp is for every player to come away with new skills and the confidence to use these in a competitive situation.
