Where do we play?

Battersea Park is our official home pitch. However, we also play at a number of other pitches across South West London. For more information, visit our locations page.

Where do we train?

For more information on where each of our teams train, visit our training page. Sessions run from August/September to April with juniors continuing until July. Summer hockey for performance teams / new joiners is available throughout the summer months.

Our juniors are based at Streatham & Clapham High School, Dulwich College, Crystal Palace and Kennington Park. Mid-week junior sessions are held at Newton Prep and Battersea Park.

Do you provide goalkeeper training?

YES! We have Goalkeeper Academies set up for both our junior and senior goalkeepers with dedicated training sessions throughout the season. You can find more information about the academies on the goalkeeper academy page and details about the sessions are held on our training page.

Do we cater for beginners?

Our Back To Hockey programme offers the opportunity to start playing hockey and/or return to the pitch after a (long) break. Visit our Back To Hockey page for more information. In the junior section, we accept beginners at all ages.

Does the Club have kit I can use?

Of course we provide for training equipment and team kit such as face masks, first aid and goalkeeper kits. For juniors – parents should provide shin guards, mouth guards, hockey sticks and suitable AstroTurf footwear.

Is there any hockey available over the summer?

Yes, there is both summer hockey for senior and junior players and summer camps for juniors. We also offer Back To Hockey in the summer months. Please contact us for more information.

When are trials held?

These are always in August for seniors. This year they were held in August. They are part of a longer selection process (where relevant). Please contact us via the Join button on the home page if you were unable to attend or missed it and would still like to join London Wayfarers.

What colour kit do we wear?

Our home kit is predominantly black with orange. Our away kit is predominantly white with orange. Visit our web shop if you would like to buy kit.

Where can I find the Club’s policies and codes?

If you click on the About us or Members Info tabs on our website you can find detailed information about our club, our Club Constitution and all of our safeguarding policies and Codes of Conduct etc. A recently introduced Membership Code is also available.
