London Wayfarers Hockey Club was England Hockey’s 2019 Club of the Year.
We are always on the look out for enthusiastic, inspiring and skilled coaches to work at one of the UK’s largest hockey clubs. We are an ambitious club and are looking for coaches with similar ambitions.
After another busy and successful year, we are looking to recruit coaches into a variety of roles for the 2024/25 season. From sessional coaches to part-time and full-time positions, there are lots of opportunities to come on board at what is a really exciting time for the club. Be it performance hockey, goalkeepers, camps, Flyerz or working within our thriving junior section, we would love to hear from anyone keen to get involved.
The job descriptions below detail the desired credentials of candidates. However, we are looking to broaden the pool of role models for our young players. So, for female coaches (or aspiring female coaches), or those from minority backgrounds, if you would potentially be interested in any of these roles but do not fully meet the criteria, we would still love to hear from you and to consider your application. It is worth highlighting that the club offer funding for coaching qualifications and relevant training.
Roles that we are currently recruiting for, for the 2024-25 season include:
- Men’s 2nd XI Head Coach (London Premier Division)
- Ladies’ 3rd XI Head Coach (London Division 1)
- Head Coach (Boys’ Section)
- Talent Centre – Age Group Lead Coach(es)
- Talent Centre – Assistant Coach(es)
In addition, we are looking for top-end coaches for the following roles:
- Senior performance team head coaches
- Senior sessional coaches
- Junior age group lead coaches
- Assistant coaches
- Goalkeeper coaches
- Camp & clinic coaches
- Flyerz coaches
